Finally 'the owl' has landed. After a month long transfer saga andrei arshavin has finally join arsenal. I dont know how much impact hes gonna give to the current squad but, ill take anyone who can replace eboue at the right midfield spot anytime. And if the anyone means someone who starred at Euro 2008 and considered the zidane of russia that would be a much significant upgrade.

It is somewhat bizarre to see some ppl condemned wenger for the time it took to complete the deal. Come one guys!! Wake up and see the full picture. Wenger was just being the shrewd businessman as he always does. Can u imagine him buyin Arshavin for 20million? I for once applaud wenger in this one. He knows Arshavin wants to leave. He knows Zenit are desperate to offload him. And he knows that if Arsenal paid over the top for him it will destroy the club financial structure. When he finally signed him, we only forked out 12million plus add ons. Wasnt that incredible? The Spurs paid 14million for Palacios, 15million for Defoe, and 15million more for Keane. Hull spent 5million on Bullard. And Man City 12million on Bridge and 14million for Bellamy!! Those amount are ridiculous!! If Bellamy, who is always injured, never appear in any major international competition, have a bad reputation at the only big club he ever played for is worth 14million, then arshavin who won the UEFA cup almost single handedly for Zenit last season and was sensational at EURO 2008 should worth at least 25million. Dont u guys realize how shrewd wenger was? I think he knows that he can get Arshavin for below 15million. He was so sure that he gambled until the final day of the transfer window. And he was proven right again. Stop questioning his decision. Seriously for this one, ARSENE KNOWS.

Imagine if (its a big IF) we could have everyone fit to play. We would start with almunia, sagna, clichy, toure, gallas, nasri, cesc, denilson, arshavin, van persie and ade. On bench we got eduardo, theo, rosicky, diaby, bendtner, djouru, and fabianski. The strength on the bench would be so good it would be hard for a player just to have a place in it. Plus we have ramsey and wilshere knocking on the door. That should scare the shit out of ppl.

p/s : I omitted eboue and song from the squad just bcoz i dont think they are good enuff to play for arsenal. Im thinking championship football for them.
