Champs league here we come

So what if Eduardo dived? Everyone does it rite? Dont get me wrong I am totally against this sissy-like action but the commentators made so much fuss about it like the dive was some kind of football catastrophe or something. Seriously, did these guys really think without the dive the result would be different? In the course of 180 minutes Celtic managed to get a massive TWO shots on target. Thats Tee--Double You--Owh TWO. And the second was the 92nd minute goal which at the time the Arsenal players' minds were already at the showers. That doesnt make them an unlucky losers not by a bit. Sorry, but diving or not, you cant hide the fact that Arsenal were miles better than their Scottish counterpart. Plus, when Gerard and Rooney dived, they didnt cause quite a commotion did they? Stupid Arsenalism this pundits are. Just because we dont play Englishmen they always treat us like scums.

Oh just read that Celtic want Eduardo to be banned for two matches. Then banned Owen for that dive against Argentina or Rooney for the one against us few years back. Those dive have more impact on the outcome of the match than any match you can think of. Stupid. Really. What on earth are they thinking. Seriously stupid.

p/s: In the next 8 months I shall put myself in as best behavior as I can. Hoping all will be well. Alhamdulillah, thank You Allah for your blessings.

Nahh..its the same old

Its the same old Arsenal isnt it? Yeah we did win 3 out of 3 and I aint complaining. But we still keep conceding stupid goals and we always love to give the opponent a glimpse of hope to gain something out of the game. The over confidence is till apparent, the lackasidal attitude is obvious and the low-concentration from our full backs is still a problem to solve. Guess old habits die hard eh? By the way, Portsmouth wont struggle if they keep playing like they did. Kudos to the manager then.

Cesc is injured. Damn. And we got Man U doming up. Double damn.

p/s : Happy Ramadhan guys. I think Nasri injured himself purposely so he can fast this year. Serious. And next week I wont be able to watch the Man U game. Geng2 Arsenal jgn marah. Gua sayang bini gua. So apehal lu nak kecoh2?? HAha

*grin* hik hik

So what if we dont replace toure? So what if we dont buy a DM? So what if we play 4-3-3? As long as we can win 6-1 away then what else do you want? Wednesday morning, Celtic, the roaring Hampden Park, Champs. League qualifier next. Prove to the fans that wasnt a fluke.

p/s : Song was superb. I hope he can play like that every week.

Time to get serious

Ok people. Its 2 days away before the start of the new season. Honestly theres never been a season which i anticipate as much as this one. Im sitting on the fence regarding our chances this season. On one hand I think we can surprise few ppl. What if Walcott finally fulfill his potential? What if Arshavin turn out to be the second coming of Bergkamp? And Cesc become the old Cesc again? But on the other hand I dont think we are ready enuff to be challenging for the title AGAIN this season. Quite how Wenger keeps assuring fans that he believes in the strength of our squad is beyond me. I dont see how the same squad which struggled last season can somehow improve dramatically to be a title challenger. While it is true that the other so called 'big four' are significantly weakened, that does not mean they are weaker than us. Though they have lost some key players (Ronaldo, Teves, Alonso), they didnt wait long to reshape their squad. And sadly for Arsenal, we havent doing nothing to overcome last season debacle. How in the world can we cope without Adebayor and Toure especially, without buying new players? The lost of Ade can be comprehended but Toure? Can Vermaelan replace him and be the gut busting defender Toure used to be? Or will Wenger sign Hangaaland? No one knows bar the boss himself.

Im gonna preview the new season now. Keep in mind theres still a little percentage in my heart that still believes that Arsene knows. A belief that will keep me supporting and cheering for Arsenal no matter how bad the situation we got ourselves in. Here it is

Goalkeeper :

I bet most of Arsenal fans cringed when Almunia step in as the new number one a couple of seasons ago. Whos complaining now? This guy totally saved our butts in a lot of occasions last season. Especially in the Champs. league semis first leg, which he produced saves after saves to give us hope for the second leg. I dont think thers many keeper better than him in the league now. Other than the declining Cech, hes on par with Van der Sar (whos old enuff to be Jack Wilshere's dad), Friedel and Reina as the best keepers in the prem. Behind him is a sure worry though. Fabianski had an up and down season last year. In some games he looked good, and in some he seem incapable of catching anything but air. This maybe down to experience so we shall see how he progress this season.

Defence :

As I have already mentioned the defence is a big worry. Silvestre is a disaster waiting to happen and Djourou is already injured ahead of the season opener. That leaves us with Gallas and Vermaelan, both of whom should be our main pairing this season. If either of them got injured we are doomed as nor Silvesre or Djourou are capable of performing week in week out consistently. They said we have problems with crosses but we cannot ignore the fact that we still vulnerable with straight through ball that open us up like butter. We had Toure to make those gut busting last ditch tackle but now hes gone and the hope is on Vermaelan to replace him. Moving from Holland to England is a big step up so I really hope that he is up for the challenge. The fact of the matter is the defence was shite last season and major reinforcements are needed. There are no two ways about it. We need tough centre backs and we need them now. Dont wait till the end of August please.

Left back is the least of our problem. We have 3 players (Clichy, Gibbs and Traore) who are experienced enuff to carry the responsibility whenever they are call upon. Clichy was at his worst last season, making costly mistakes time and time again. Lets hope he can recover his best form this season. Gibbs is still raw and was occasionally exposed last season, especially in THAT game at Anfield. However the experience of last season shall do him good though. Same with Traore, who although played mostly on the wings last season at Portsmouth, is still a dangerous full back. He needs to work on his defensive prowess though.

At right back, I have no worry with Sagna at this moment. The guy is fucking tough he gives the impression he'll kick anyone who come breathing on his neck. And then there is the guy called Eboue. Sigh. I do think the reason Wenger doesnt let him leave is because we dont have any capable right back other than Sagna. I have no problem with the right back Eboue. Its the right wing Eboue i despise.

Midfield :

If the pre season is something we can count onto we need to get used to a 4-3-3/4-5-1 Arsenal this season. When we look at the players we got it is a sensible move by the manager though. Song will be the anchor behind the pairing of Cesc and Diaby/Denilson/Nasri/Rosicky with either of these two can support the lone striker up front. Although I think we still need another defensive midfielder, lets see how far Song has come. He made a huge stride last season and if he continues to improve hes gonna be a big part of our team. However he will be gone for few weeks in January (ACN), so unless Wenger plans to put Denilson in that position, we need a new one. Denilson is more Fabregas than everything, so to expect him to put on performance on consistent basis is ridicule. So Arsene, get your wallet out and start spending. If Song doesnt progress as much as we hope we can forget about the top four, let alone the title. Remember the straight through ball that cut open our defence like butter? A good defensive midfielder can stop that from happening right?

Forward :

I dont know why some ppl question the manager decision not to replace Ade. Ok two years ago he was irreplacable but base on last season he has become an excess baggage on our team. With Arsene going more with Robin as our lone striker and Walcott/Arshavin flanking him, we dont need an Adebayor in the team no more. With Eduardo looking sharp again we now have at least 3 players with potentially 15-20 goals in each of them. I havent yet mention Vela (outstanding in GOLD cup final) and the now number 52 Bendtner, who themselves can bag a few more goals for us. Add the exciting Wilshere on the list, and we are looking at a massive potential here.

Overall, I think the manager is banking on some players to improve massively from last season showing. He decided not to spend more during the summer so the likes of Walcott, Vela, and the returning duo of Rosicky and Eduardo will have to contribute hugely this season. We have a difficult start to begin with, with Celtic and the Manchesters will all be facing us in the first month of the season. I believe we are a defender and a midfielder away from being competitive again, and with other teams weakened, everything is in our hands. Heres hoping for a joyous season ahead. Good luck Arsenal. I'll be cheering you on.

Film Reviews

Me and the wife managed to get ourselves to watch 3 movies in a week. See THREE movies. How movie buff are we ehh?? So here are the reviews. And yes, my reviews are better than those you can read in celebrity mags. Trust me on this. When I say a movie sucks, i.e Transformers a.k.a worst-plot-ever-but-blinded-the-audience-with-cgi, it does suck. So here it goes. 3 movies crammed in one post.

1. Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince

Boy the boys and girls of Hogwartz have all grown up dont they? Honestly, I dont know how to categorize this 6th part of the boy wizard series. Is this a love story? An action movie? A comedy? Seriously I dont know. As always, they just couldn't transfer the excitement from to book (which I read TWICE) into the big screen thoroughly. Yeah in the end of the movie Snape did tell Harry he was the half blood prince. But just like that? Theres no clue along the movie trying to tell us who was the prince. The movie never let us guess weather Dumbledore or Snape was the brilliant student disguising himself as the half blood prince. And why did he call himself the half blood prince then? How did he come up with that 'Sectumsempra' then? If you dont read the book you'll never know. The movie focused more on some stupid stuff, such as the love between Ron and some girl (I forgot her name, shes just not worth remembering), the flowering relationship between Harry and Gina Weasley, Harmioine's jealousy and others. I wonder why didnt they put more emphasize on how Draco Malfoy turned into a Death Eater, how did Snape become half blood prince, and like in the book, the cursed relationship between Dumbledore and Tom Riddle. That would make the movie much better. However the movie was still very enjoyable though. The battle between good and evil portrayed in it was thrilling, occasionally funny and visually stunning. They toyed with your emotions too. The acting was brilliant, with the boys and girls all turned out to be decent actors arent they? Especially to Daniel Radcliff, who I think was totally believable as a boy struggling with his destiny. All in all, its a good movie to spend your two hours on. In the battle between the summer's blockbusters, this one was the clear winner, beating that robot-orgy movie down to earth.

Rating - 7/10

2. The Taking of Pelham 123

Im a big Denzel Washigton fan. Rarely his movies ever disappointed me. However this one..urghh..not good sir..just not that good. The plot and direction were horrible leaving gaping holes here and there. How did Dennis Ford turned into Bernard Ryder, the sadistic and vicious yet brilliant criminal? What made Garber take that bribe? No, you cant just say child education as the answer for everything please. There have to be something else. And whats with the boy who was cyber-sexing with his girlfriend on the train? Totally inappropriate. In the end Garber, the naive soft spoken guy, able to gather all his strength and courage to single handedly disrupt Ryder's plan resulting death to all of the villains. So easy. So fucking easy. As brilliant as Ryder was he was easily outthought by a train operator. A fucking train operator. Oh right, a bribe taking train operator which made him a criminal too (whats the point here??!??!). What a time waster this movie was.

Rating - 3/10

3. The Proposal

Just watched this one last nite. When it comes to romantic comedy trust Sandra Bullock to deliver. Few actress can make a rom-com as enjoyable as she does. She seems to have good chemistry with any actor shes paired with, and for this one she and Ryan Reynolds looked perfect for each other. Though the story line was recycled (as most of the rom-com genre) there were something about this movie that preventing it to be another snore fest. It wont disappoint most of movie goers for sure. All in all, a feel good movie, which will leave you happy-hearted in the end.

Rating - 6/10

I promise I'll write about Arsenal next time.

Alone but not lonely

Here i am again alone and idling myself to bore. Time flies by nonchalantly like nothing matters. Im starting to question my purpose to live. I feel like a useless brat struggling to find his place in this world. Theres a wall of brick and steel around me compounding and suffocating me to death. Im still searching my way out of this shit hole this stinking place of crossing identity. And the chance to flee kept slipping away from my hands..again and again..

Haha nice blabbering eh? I just got back from having one hell of a good time far far away from here. Yeah Bukit Tinggi Indonesia (my kampung laa FYI) was unique in its own way. The people was nice and friendly, though some of them do have mischievous attention hiding behind their grind. Mind you, we were treated like kings during our stay there. They do appreciate company well. Most of them, sorry, all of them drive like maniacs. Wait, they were worse than maniacs. For them overtaking is a must to be earn a driving license. Also, if you were born with a stick like object between your legs, you must smoke. If you dont, they will cut your danglers off and hang it for everyone to see. And they have the worst public toilet you can ever imagine. Say it, weather a toilet without a toilet bowl (can it be called a toilet then?), a toilet with a reverse toilet bowl, a toilet without sanitary, they all have it there. I assume they are the most creative dump taking ppl ever exists in the history of mankind. Enuff with the ppl, the place was fucking marvelous. The air was as clean as you can ever breath, and its hard to pour even a single sweat out of your stinking arm pits. It was so fresh and cold you feel like hell when you touched back in Malaysia. To all guys out there, if you want to take your wife for a trip here, do prepare yourselves with bucket load of greens. The place is a shopping heaven for women. Girls might even faint to see the goods sold here.

I want to write about Arsenal again, but Ive been in the wilderness for the last four days and still trying to catch up with all the news related to the gunners. Its been one depressing summer isnt it? Just realized there is some euphoria regarding jack wilshere. Wtf? The guy is fucking 17!! Leave the kid alone!! Till then ciao.
